You If you are a fan of theme parks, you probably know that now is the 50e birthday at Walt Disney World. Now this celebration lasts for a total of 18 months. Walt Disney World has launched over 150 menu items for this commemoration. As you can imagine, not all of them are winners.
Here are a few that we suggest you avoid, as there are much better options out there right now in Walt Disney World.
This list will only focus on Magic Kingdom.
WENDELL’S BEAR CLAW
You can find it at Westward Ho in Frontierland. In all fairness, this is not bad treatment. It’s just not a good one. This item tastes like a standard bear claw shaped pastry dipped in chocolate and topped with hazelnuts.
The biggest problem with this treat is that it tends to be dry. The flavors are correct. Even for the price of $ 5.49, you can easily find better treats in Magic Kingdom.
These nuggets can be found at the Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. The idea of churros nuggets sounds good in principle. The so-called “EARidescent” sugar doesn’t help this treat.
The main problem with these churro nuggets is the lack of freshness. It’s Walt Disney World. You can find better churros. However, the nuggets are cute, but that’s the best aspect for this $ 5.89 treat.
Captain Nemo Octopus
This can be found at Be Our Guest. This unique dish is a seaweed salad with cucumber, pickled beets, hearts of palm, tapioca crackers, beet mousse and carrot-ginger silk. Plus, as the name suggests, it comes with octopus.
You can get this aperitif with the Prix Fixe menu. Unfortunately, the octopus with this dish lacks quality flavor, so be prepared. The presentation of this dish resembles a plate of colorful cold cuts. If you’re a picky eater or don’t really like seafood, skip this uniquely themed appetizer.
The space-themed burger resides at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café. As a part-time food blogger, this place is an easy punching bag for poor quality food. Now there are reasons to dine at Cosmic Ray but this 50e The birthday menu item is not one of them.
This burger costs $ 11.49. The idea is good, but the execution is not.
The item is an impossible burger with guacamole, tomato and coleslaw and it comes with fries. The main problem with this burger is the lack of flavor. The bun is below average. The guacamole was also below par at best. Even the burger patty and coleslaw were lacking in flavor. As you can see, this is not a great choice as there are much better vegan / vegetarian options in Magic Kingdom.
May you enjoy your food at Magic Kingdom. These probably won’t be good choices if you want a valuable culinary experience in a theme park.
