Food paying homage to Bama, Georgia on menu at Lucas Oil Stadium

13News got a glimpse of two specialist articles that will be sold inside Lucas Oil during the Championship game on Monday night.

INDIANAPOLIS – Food and sports have a relationship as rich as Bear Bryant and Alabama or – because we don’t play favorites here – maybe Georgia and Vince Dooley.

Apart who will win, another question that got many of us moving forward throughout this college football playoff weekend in Indianapolis was – and rightly so – What will I eat ?

Inside Lucas Oil Stadium on Monday night, fans will be treated to new food that honors the two teams playing for the national championship and the city of Indianapolis.

13News obtained a small sample of the tariff that will be on display at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday

There’s the Crimson Tide Dog, a giant hot dog placed in a fresh bun, topped with pulled pork, cheese, and fried onion strips.

These will be available at various locations around the stadium on Monday and on Fan Day.

Bulldog Brisket Sliders are also available during Fan Day, with slowly roasted meat placed on a bun.

The barbecue sauce in the brisket and the hot dog was made in part with Dr. Pepper.

The Georgia Bulldogs Peach Shrimp Taco won’t be served inside Lucas Oil Stadium until Monday evening. These are Cajun shrimp mixed with a peach and salsa sauce.

Indianapolis was no slouch either. Fans can feast on Indiana Whiskey Sour Pork Wings, which are made with local pork covered in a marmalade frosting; Hoosier Fried Chicken with Pimento Cheese and Heartland Beer Cheese Steak Sandwich made with Cheese Fondue made at Sun King Brewery.

Meatless options include ancient grain bowls, peppers loaded with plant-based meat and sweet chili frosting, and salad.

Sugar cookies decorated with team logos and football themes created by Cute as a button Carmel will be available for dessert.

If you plan to eat some of these specialties on Monday, be sure to bring a card. The stadium concessions are cashless.

Food was brought to Fan Day and the Indiana Convention Center by Sodexo Live!
