When the Be Our Guest restaurant debuted at Magic Kingdom Park at the Walt DisneyWorld Resort on December 6, 2012, guests were required to reserve tables months in advance.

Even now, nine years later, the dining establishment – which is located near Gaston’s Tavern in the Fantasyland expansion – can be difficult to access.
As part of Walt Disney World Resort’s gradual reopening process, which began in July 2020 after the property closed due to the pandemic, Be Our Guest is currently offering a limited set-price menu. The trap ? It still costs $ 62 per person for adults!

The current dining experience is described by Disney as:
Seated lunch and dinner includes a fixed-price 3-course menu of very delicious French-inspired dishes.
Start your meal with your choice of a sumptuous appetizer such as French onion soup, lobster bisque or a selection of assorted meats and artisan cheeses. For your main course, choose from a mix of mouthwatering starters including filet mignon, tortellini and other savory delicacies. Then save room for our trio of delicious desserts.

On a recent visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I had dinner at Be Our Guest, and my group was pleasantly surprised by the experience despite the dining establishment having recently received negative feedback for the presentation. food.
In fact, we ordered the selection of assorted meats and artisan cheeses that sparked complaints. [below]. While we haven’t seen that the presentation has improved significantly since guests started posting on social media, our party who tried the platter found the food itself to be quite good.

Another appetizer, the Mixed Field Greens salad [below], made with crunchy hazelnuts and seasonal fruit, was also ordered by several members of our dinner party.

We also tried several of the entrees that are currently on offer at Be Our Guest. The center-cut filet mignon with Robuchon Yukon potatoes, seasonal vegetables and cipollini marmalade and the seared scallops with seasonal risotto were delicious.

Highlights of the meal, however, were the trio of desserts [below] featuring a white chocolate chip mug filled with “gray stuff” (it’s delicious!) and special appearances from Beast himself.

The character walked through the dining room several times during our meal, circling every few minutes. While guests cannot currently interact with Beast, he gets close enough to some tables, allowing for some fun photo ops!
Overall, Be Our Guest’s limited menu is consistently high quality and the dining experience at Beast’s Castle is unparalleled. Guests are also allowed to walk around the other rooms of the castle when they have finished dinner to take photos and soak up the atmosphere.
If you are looking for a special meal at Walt Disney World Resort during the 50th anniversary celebration, this is the perfect choice.
