To mark its 10th anniversary, multi-award winning Marini’s on 57 celebrates with a decadent menu that will have your taste buds singing with delight.
Founded by Cavaliere Modesto Marini, the iconic luxury dining and entertainment establishment is the jewel in the crown of Menara 3 Petronas, located on the 57th floor. At this height, it offers a picturesque view of the national treasure, the KLCC twin towers. There, the restaurant has thrown tons of memorable parties around great food, great wine, and wonderful company.
To commemorate this, Marini’s on 57 has concocted a dream table d’hôte in 10 courses called the Founder’s Menu. As the name suggests, diners will be able to savor reinterpretations of 10 fine contemporary Italian dishes that have become restaurant staples.
“When we started this culinary journey, it was to share my passion for food and my vision for a world-class place with the Malaysian public and the world. […] I believe food is synonymous with love, and my love for food has led me to where I am today,” Cav said. Modesto in his speech of appreciation.
Traditionally, October is a month of celebration for The Marini’s Group. This time around, they’re going big. On October 20, 2022, Viva Marini’s 10th anniversary party will take place at Marini’s on 57. With Grammy-nominated guest DJ Timo Maas set to take the decks back for the night, it’s going to be an evening to remember.
PrestigeOnline Malaysia had the pleasure of previewing the Founder’s Menu at Marini’s at 57, and here’s what we experienced:
To start this trip, we were served with Fegato Grasso. Seared foie gras served on brioche bread was a sweet but indulgent start to this beautiful 10-course meal. With a pinch of pistachio and a dash of fig jam, our first bite was very appetizing.
after it was Uova and Insalata di Feta — scrambled eggs with Parmigiano mousse. Served with grated black truffles, feta cream and mixed seasonal vegetables, it’s a gorgeous take on a breakfast classic. If you love both truffles and eggs, this will be one of your favorites on this menu.
Then we moved on to the capping dish. Here we were seduced by the succulents Hokkaido scallops perched on a decadent porcini mushroom sauce. Truly incomparable, this sweet ocean treasure delights every bite.
Then came the carpaccio marinato, which was Salted Wagyu Beef garnished with shimeji mushrooms, ricotta cream and candied cherry tomatoes. With its depth of rich, sweet flavors, it was the perfect preparation for the next course.
As we approach our main courses, Marini is on 57 amazed guests with Zuppa of Cavolfiore. This soup dish features cauliflower and kale soup with croutons of Parmigiano focaccia. Then we opted for Tagliatelle with Tartufo for our pasta dish, simply because we couldn’t resist the concoction of buttered sage, parmesan cream and black truffle. Alternatively, the restaurant also has Cappellini All’astice option if you are a lobster lover.
For the main star of the Founder’s Menu, the guests were captivated by merluzzo, which was seared cod served with a superb saffron caviar sauce. Then, the long-awaited last starter was served: the irresistible Japanese Wagyu topped with potato croquette and truffle Hollandaise sauce. Simply put, this part of the menu was the ultimate crowd pleaser.
Finally, to seal our culinary experience, we were spoiled by a Pre Dessert and a special dessert: the Dolci Viva Marinis. Suffice it to say, the meal ended in a big burst of creativity and chocolate.
