Barrow AFC

It might not be the number one priority on Mark Cooper’s wish list, but pot noodles will be on the menu at Dunes Hotel Stadium on Saturday.

Barrow hosts Mansfield in one of the eye-catching matches of the League Two matchday and fans are welcome to enjoy the off-pitch fun too.

The club recently launched an extensive fan survey and have already been overwhelmed with the response, with almost 500 fans taking the time to share their thoughts with Blueboards.

The club’s matchday food offer was highlighted as needing improvement. So he took some initial steps to try to give fans a few more options.

The club says: “From our catering hut on the side of the main stand, we are now offering a pie, pea and gravy offer to fans, so be sure to drop by to try it on Saturday.

“Plus, at other outlets, we’re offering pot noodles and a variety of soups to help keep fans warm as the cold weather starts to bite!”

On the pitch, it promises to be a tasty one too, with Mansfield topping the table and heading into the playoffs under experienced manager Nigel Clough.

Form tables are usually assessed over the last six games and Mansfield have racked up six wins for 18 points, with a goal difference of plus seven.

Barrow is 14 years oldand with two wins, one draw and three losses in their last league encounters.
