There’s a Secret Menu at Square One’s Food District in Mississauga

Mississauga foodies already know there’s no shortage of mouth-watering dishes at the Food District at Square One.

But what you might not know is that there are even more tasty dishes to discover when you start ordering from the secret menu.

From June 21st until September 5eseveral Food District vendors offer specially created off-menu items, all inspired by the flavors of summer.

Find out what’s available in the secret menu:


Sweet Jesus (in the cover photo): Mango Mania with a soft serve of mango, mango madness breadcrumbs, mango and caramel sauces, a fried waffle and a half slice of cheesecake.

Boasting a sweet selection of ice cream cones, milkshakes, cakes and more, Sweet Jesus has been a mainstay in the Food District since opening in 2019.


Chocolate Brigadeiros: Brigadeiro Brownie S’mores with marshmallow toppings.

Chocollata specializes in gourmet brigadeiros, a traditional Brazilian dessert the size of a cupcake and usually topped with chocolate chips or other sweet toppings.


Blackjack BBQ: Fried chicken and waffles.

It’s always barbecue season at Blackjack’s, which serves popular dishes such as sweet whiskey pork chops, dinosaur prime ribs and sides including cheddar and broccoli salad, mashed potatoes , pork and beans, and more.

One of The Food District’s best desserts, best known for its wide selection of cookies: everything from traditional chocolate chips to more unique offerings such as birthday cake cookies and red velvet white chocolate.


Hale Cafe: Blue milk lattes.

This popular cafe offers specialty coffees from around the world, with an emphasis on using high quality coffee beans. The retail section of the store offers a wide selection of freshly roasted coffee beans and other coffee products.


Kibo Sushi House: The Love Boat Premium SQ1, including appetizers, rolls, sashimi and sushi. Serves a group of 4-5 people.

Kibo Sushi is one of The Food District’s newest openings, featuring Japanese staples such as sushi, sashimi, noodles, bento, donburi, mochi ice cream and even a selection of sushi pizzas. The store sells various Japanese foods and snacks in its “Kibo Market”.

At Tao Tea Leaf, customers can choose from 180 varieties of tea, including chai, chamomile and everything in between, as well as specialty blends that have even won first prize at the North American Tea Championship.


The Carnita: Cotija Taco, fried cotija breaded with panko and egg wash, pinto beans, pickled carrots, green onions and cilantro.

Born out of a love of art, music and Mexican cuisine, La Carnita describes itself as “the place to enjoy delicious tacos, a handful of churros, and wash it all down with a chilled cocktail or ‘a beer”.

At Fresh Pasta To Go in Dal Moro, authentic and traditional pasta dishes are prepared on site. Diners can choose from seven varieties of pasta (like spaghetti, rigatoni, and gnocchi) and 12 different sauces, including bolognese, pesto, and Alfredo.


These secret menu items won’t be around forever, so be sure to try a few the next time you’re at the Food District!

Since opening in 2019, The Food District has become Square One’s premier location for restaurants and pop-ups, and currently features 25 unique eateries. From tacos and sushi to ice cream and iced tea, there’s something for everyone here.
